The entry for bestow curse has the tantalizing text in it:

You may also invent your own curse, but it should be no more powerful than those described above.

So, does anyone have any good ideas on curses that satisfy those criteria?

I have two.
1: Deafness.
2: A -1 penalty that is applied to that actual natural dice roll. That is, if you roll a natural 20, it is considered a natural 19. Natural 19s are considered 18s. Natural 2s and natural 1s are considered natural 1s.

I use it to both blind and deafen my enemies. It's pretty powerful until you take into account the touch attack AND the save to negate it.

If your not in battle these are nice.
Well there is the "You may only speak only the Whole Truth" to realy mess with alot of people.

A nice catch all is "When you wish to lie you may only tell the whole Truth and when you wish to tell the Truth you must Lie.".

I like "Before you speak you must do a back flip"

Or "When speaking you must say every word three times" How, How, How, are, are, are, you? you? you?

Or "Do everything backwards" is funny.

I have also heard of clasic curses were they may not maintain their gear leaving it rusty and dull prone to breaking.

In a fight you might Make them think that their equipment is made up of poisionous snakes.

That gravity has reversed its self and they need to clutch the ground or fly off in to the sky.

Any Dibilitating Phobia is a good pick.
