Any creature passing through the wall takes 1d6 points of damage per caster level (maximum 15d6), with a Reflex save for half damage. If you evoke the barrier so that it appears where creatures are, each creature takes damage as if passing through the wall. Each such creature can avoid the wall (ending up on the side of its choice) and thus take no damage by making a successful Reflex save. A blade barrier provides cover (+4 bonus to AC, +2 bonus on Reflex saves) against attacks made through it. Is this considered a Wall spell? If it is a wall spell you can not break it up, correct? In 2e you could fill an area however you see fit, but now it reads as a wall spell. Up to 20ft high and 20ft long per level. An 11th level caster can make it 220ft long, he can not use it to run through the middle of a stable open on one end so the caster can see where he is putting it and there are 2 of the sable walls in the way. The sable walls would prevent it correct? Could you set it on its side, making it 20ft wide and 20ft tall per level? Any help would be great! I hope you understand what I am asking. Thanks ZK |

Yes, I would rule that you must have line of effect from one end of the line to another, and everywhere in between; not necessarily line of sight, but line of effect yes. |
