Changeling 05-18-06, 12:00 AM	PHB 2 spell, Blade of Blood states that you can cast this spell on a weapon and when it next hits it will do an additional 1d6 points of damage. You can choose to take 5 points of damage and do 2d6 more points of damage (total +3d6). Does this decision need to be made at the time of the casting? Who takes the damage, the caster or the person wielding the weapon? Can Damage Resistance counteract the damage?

The caster takes the damage when he casts the spell on the weapon. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Can Damage Resistance counteract the damage? Damage Resistance has no effect on Magic Damage, or damage from a spell. BT
