Does the Blindsight spell work underground if you've got burrowing ability? or is that more Tremorsense?

I thought blindsight was based on the sense of hearing and tremorsense was based on touch, so all they are is the ability to locate things with a sense other than sight. I'd say you can use blindsight underground all you want.

A quote from the SRD:

"Some creatures have blindsight, the extraordinary ability to use a nonvisual sense (or a combination of such senses) to operate effectively without vision. Such sense may include SENSITIVITY TO VIBRATIONS, acute scent, keen hearing, or echolocation. "

Just wondered the difference between Tremorsense and Blindsight. I guess if a dragon can use it to locate it's prey when they are hiding underground/underwater, it only makes sense.

Although the SRD suggests this, I would think the law of physics would not allow a blind person to sense underground/water movement from aboveground. Tremosense is especially design for this, so I would say no to that. If you are underwater, however, then you probably should be able to sense movements in the water. Same goes for above-ground movements, but the medium for this time is air. I wouldnt know how you would "swim" underground[maybe earth elemental], but if you can, you should be able to, too. Note the "sight" word in blindsight. One general rule would be deciding what [i]medium the individual is in, and stick to that. If a person with blindsight place his/her ear close to the ground, he/she would be able to sense general directions, but probably not the exact spot.

The difference is that tremorsense doesn't work on things that aren't touching the ground.
