This has raised the question what can blindsight really do? The DMG states that you're not subject to gaze attacks, blinding attacks don't help. Deafing attacks help if it's reliant on hearing. Works underwater. Negates displacement and blur effects. One of Skip Williams' articles make it clear that it negates invisibility but that it does not work against incorporeal or ethereal foes. But does it work against illusions? Does it work against mirror image? (which is an illusion I guess). And are there any other strange instances where it works/doesn't work? please include sources |

I guess Mirror image has sound as well so blindsight wont work on it. it isnt said mirror image has sound or not, it says you have a dupplicate of yourself. In DD3.5, powers may have names that have a flavor slightly different from its effect. (ex: Dimension door, there is no door, there are many many exemples of that) It doesnt work in silence as well i guess |
