| Ivellious Galanodel07-14-04, 02:06 PM | A friend of mine is considering this familiar as his own with the improved familiar feat. He is a 5th level lawful neutral wizard. Is it written somewhere that if he were to have a ring of blinking, that in theory master and familiar could blink in sync together. Could he then "ride" the familiar while it blinked together with him? I could swear that I have read this somewhere, but I can't find it. |

The ring does already exist in the DMG, but I could swear that I read somewhere about having to spend some time to attune to the blink dog in order to sync with it. Since the wizard character is a medium sized Dwarf, and the blink dog is a medium sized animal, I thought perhaps he could ride it. It is an Improved Familiar from the Comlete Warrior handbook. |

At the very least, they should get the -5 to ride checks, and be very carefull of the weight, as even as a wizard you might go over what the dog could carry. |
