| Silais03-21-06, 05:19 AM | Never mind... Well, I'm needing a spell for a certain adventure I'm planning. I need the spell to simply cause the skies to rain blood in a mile radius or so. I'm just wondering what the stats for such a spell should be, and what the effects of a bloody rain should be. I'm thinking that possibly a moral penalty should be imposed (Vs a will save) at the sight of all this blood, or possibly the area should be treated as though it's under a grease spell. I'm not realy sure. Anyhow, Heres my rough draft: Blood rain Transmutation Level: Wiz/Sor 6, Clr 6 Components: V,S, DF Casting Time: 1 minute Range: 1 mile Area: 1 Mile-Radius circle, centered on you Duration: 1 hour/level Saving throw: See text SR: No This spell causes the clouds to rain blood. The spell only works if their is enough cloud cover to foster a reasonably strong downpour. The more cloud cover, the heavier the blood rain. If it is already raining, this spell changes the rain into blood (rain that has already landed is uneffected). If the sky is clear when the spell is cast, the spell remains active but ineffectual until such time as it begins raining, at which point the spell takes effect. Time spent waiting for cloud cover counts against the spell duration. <insert effects of blood rain here> Specail note: This spell may be casted in conjunction with control weather. If done so blood rain may be cast as part of the casting proccess of control weather. The new spell uses the smallerr area and duration of the two spells. Any suggestions? |

| green_yawgmoth03-24-06, 08:40 AM | And why not just use the evil weather spell in the BoVD to summon said rain of blood? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v91/yawgmoth/kittyjig.gif |

Sorry I try and stay out of the BoVD, when ever I open it, I tend to use it. And that makes my players mad. Well, I guess that largely sums up this topic... Thanks... |
