bonus spells from high ability score [Archive] - Wizards Community

08-28-06, 12:03 PM A very basic question that I haven't been able to find the answer for. Every spellcasting class gets bonus spells for a high ability score, but I've yet to figure out exactly what that means. I know the ability modifier isn't just added directly to spells/day, as that would be silly. Where exactly is it explained how bonus spells from high ability scores work?

Go to page 8 of the 3.5 PHB and look at table 1-1.

That able gives you the number of bonus spells for each spell level for any given value of your casting stat.
