Bonus stacking, does it stack? [Archive] - Wizards Community

11-26-03, 03:55 PM I am a first level Cleric (well, not me, but I play a 1st level cleric) in 3.0 and I have a question.

Does Masterwork weapon bonus +1, Weapon focus +1, Bless and magic weapon stack? If they do, I get +4 to attack on top of my strength bonus and BAB.

Weapon focus = unnamed bonus.
Bless = morale bonus.
Magic Weapon = enhancement bonus.

Well, three out of four isn't bad.

11-26-03, 04:04 PM How do you see what kind of bonuses they are, and does only different named bonuses stack, am I correct? So I get a +3 bonus at first level as a cleric?

11-26-03, 04:15 PM Bonuses that are named the same typically DO NOT stack, only the superior one takes effect. And typically, every different named bonuses DO stack. There is more information on this in the 3.5 PHB, and the 3.0 DMG.

So, the enhancement bonus from the +1 and the enhancement bonus from the Masterwork do not stack because they both provided enhancement bonuses.

So, yes, you do get a +3 bonus to hit from those effects listed. On top of your Strength and BAB, of course.
