('Magic Missile' should win the lifetime achievement award) swift, last as long as you need it, gives your lackeys (ahem... sorry, frontline comrades) the edge; combined with the 5 rounds effect, what's not to like? when Owoddyn's (that's my bard) group aided the city folk to defend against the onslaught of ogres, after he gave them a long inspiring speech (I actually wrote one) and reminded them of their anthem (I wrote them one based on another song), He told them to sing the anthem while they fought to raise their spirits. He used the ceremonial war drums to give them the beat, and added +2 to about 50 people. (so basically the DM let me get away with murder for investing a little effort in my role playing) So I started thinking, what about boosting the other buffing up abilities? </Fluff> <Actual Question> a swift spell multiplying the HD, attack bonus and fortitude bonus gained from 'inspire greatness' - bard 3? a swift spell giving just +1 for each - bard 2? (cannot give +1/2 fortitude) a standard action spell that allows affecting one more target- bard 4? </Actual Question> |
