:b: How would you adjust the price?

I say just double it, but some of the other guys a game with are suggest some extreme prices.

Rev Eng to 1200 for one round than use BSQ 20x20x1200=480,000
or SlxClx1800=108,000

What right?

Those both seem a bit high IMO, given that the standard version only costs 12k. Double might be a bit too low (since price relations are rarely linear), but I dont think it would need to be more than triple the original price.

Or you could always pick up two pairs of boots and change shoes mid-day.

Double it, that is what the mechanic suggests. The pricing formula for it is for a use activated item with a single charge a day: 2000 * 3 * 10 / 5 = 12,000gp. By adding a second charge to that you double the price.

Or you could just recalculate the item at CL 20 (20 rounds): 3 * 20 * 2000gp / 5 = 24,000gp.

After carefully considering all of the data provided by the members of the Boards Spell Analysis Team, I can safely say with a 95% confidence that the answer is...
double it. :D

Indeed, double it. It'll be healthier for your budget, and it makes sense.

I recommend a bit more than doubling.

My 16th level archer/cleric (Forgotten Realms elf, you know) has two pair of Boots of Speed because he sometimes wants more than ten rounds of Haste per day. Obviously, this cost double what one pair would cost, but with the disadvantage that he can't use all 20 rounds without stopping combat, taking off his "used up" boots and putting on the fresh ones.

After using up five rounds on the first set of boots, he'll start to get a little conservative, mixing in some rounds of spellcasting with his rounds of full attacks. If he has more than 6 rounds used on the first pair of boots, he'll switch to the second pair, just to make sure he'll have enough Haste for the next combat.

If the DM challenges the players with really long combats, multiple times per day, those 20-round Boots would be much more valuable than two 10-round Boots. So I'd add a premium, say (2x12k)+1k = 25k for the Greater Boots of Speed.

Or just create Boots of Extended Haste.

2000 x 4 x 10/5 = 16,000

Doubling seems correct (I had researched this as well a long time ago in 3.0), but one issue is that you may have to pay a premium price for someone to make this for you, unless it's someone in the party making it. Since it's a non-standard item, it won't just be hanging on a rack somewhere ready to buy. So the market price may be 24k, but you may end up paying an extra 10-50% because it's a custom item.
