Boreal Wind is a AoE damage effect combined with Gust of Wind, but it has a duration.

I see 3 possible options for adjucating the spell.

1) Damage is dealkt only on the first round, but creatures are subject to being pushed each round

2) Creatures take damage and are pushed each round they stay in the AoE.

3) A given creature can only be damaged by the spell once, but remains subject to pushing while within the AoE

Which is it?

I'm inclined towards options 1 or 3, since it deals 1d4/level damage, and the AoE can be moved by the caster as a move action each round.

I'm just interested in whether or not it has been errata'd or if there is a previous guideline for spells such as this that I missed.

Its number two.

It might seem like a lot of damage, but keep in mind that the saving throw is fort (negates), which means a lot of targets will not take any damage from the spell.

I do think its too much for a 4th level druid spell, though. IMO it should be 5th for them too. I dont care how flavor appropriate it is.
