| Wyrd Bearer11-20-05, 12:54 PM | Bounteous Touch Transmutation Level: Drd 2, GtA 2 Components: V, S, DF Casting Time: 10 minutes Range: Touch Target: See text Duration: Instantaneous (see text) Saving Throw: None Spell Resistance: No Bounteous Touch can have different effects depending on the version of the spell chosen. Nurture: This version of the spell benefits a seed buried in rich soil. The spell is cast upon a pint of water that is then poured on the buried seed. Rapidly, the seed germinates and growns to maturity in 1 minute. The resulting plant grows to fit its boundaries, if a roof or other obstacle prevents it from reaching its full size, it grows around it if possible, but does not harm or damage anything in its way. Rapid Production: This version of the spell is cast upon a plant capable of bearing fruit. After 1 minute, the target of this version of Bounteous Touch bears fruit as if an entire growing season has passed. The fruit is ripe and ready to be picked. The downside is that the fruit contains no fertilized seeds and so cannot be used to propegate more of its kind. A caster must also be careful with this version of the spell. If cast upon the same plant more than 7 times a year, the plant will die from the stress and draw upon its resources. While both effects take a minute to take effect after casting, the results of this spell are instantaneous and cannot be dispelled. This spell has no effect on plant creatures. Regenerate Plantlife Transmutation (or Necromancy?) Level: Drd 1, GtA 1 Components: V, S, M, DF Casting Time: 1 standard action Range: Touch Target: Plant or plant-creature touched Duration: Instantaneous Saving Throw: none (harmless); see text Spell Resistance: no (harmless) When laying your hand upon a living plant, you momentarily augment its metabolism to extrodinary heights, causing it to mend damage that has been done to it at a much faster pace. This spell restores 1d8 of hp per every two caster levels (max 10d8) to the touched plant. Material Component: A salve that consists mostly of grasses and herbs that is applied to damaged areas of the target plant (such as spaces between broken limbs, etc) and bound with rough scraps of cloth. The salve takes 1 hour to prepare and apply to the intended plant. ======== Question? Comments? Oh, I should inform you, GtA is short for Green-thumb Adept, a variant of the NPC adept class that casts spells solely based around plants and nature (a druid-lite) without any damaging spells. Its basically for the crazy old hedge-wizard NPCs who live off in a forest somewhere and keep to themselves. |
