I came up with this idea when i was trapped on top of a castles rampart, my sword had been destroyed by a blackguards sunder ability and all i had was my Mighty Composite Longbow (+3). On top of that i only had about a dozen arrows left. After i ran out and the blackguards minions broke in and i died.

I realized that a bow that never ran out of arrows would come in handy.

The Bow of Infinite Arrows is a bow that has been enchanted with a cutom spell i imported to the sor/wiz spell list from the psions. Bolt. When the bow is drawn a normal wooden arrow appears and i ready to be fired. The arrow can still be enhanced by any other abilities placed in the bow.

Check out the Quiver of Anariel (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=books/fr/lonedrowstats) (bottom of the page).

Quiver of Anariel:Quivers of Anariel appear to be typical arrow containers capable of holding a score of arrows. However, the quivers automatically replenish themselves with standard or magical arrows, such that they are always full. Some quivers also create arrows made of special materials, such as adamantine, cold iron, or alchemical silver.

Once an arrow it taken from the quiver, it must be used within 1 round or it vanishes.

Moderate conjuration; CL 7th; Craft Wondrous Item, magic weapon, minor creation; Price 28,000 gp (standard arrows), 29,000 gp (masterwork arrows), 32,000 gp (+1 arrows), 44,000 gp (+2 arrows), 64,000 gp (+3 arrows), 92,000 gp (+4 arrows), 128,000 gp (+5 arrows); Add an additional +6,000 gp for adamantine arrows, +4,005 gp for cold iron arrows, or +200 gp for alchemical silver arrows; Weight 1 lb.

Cool, i didnt know that someone already created a similar item. My bow would be a more economical choice for a newer adventurer though, since the spell to create it is a level 0 spell it can be cast as soon as the charcter gets the craft feat.

This concept is integral to the character of Cattie-brie in the Drizzt books in FR. She has a bow that has unlimited lightning arrows and fires an unending stream of them into combats. It is likely her bow is written up in some FR source or another.

I'd rather have the bow from the Dungeons and Dragons cartoon.

Infinate arrows, as well as other uses. Swiss army bow.

*casts resurrection, but for a good reason*

Assuming this bow was made by the original poster's idea, couldn't you up the price some to allow it to be enchanted like a weapon? Anotherwords, enchant the quiver, which passes on its enchantments to the arrows. This would be, in effect, more useful and more cost effective (you can always add new enchantments later, and have this thing through your entire adventuring career) than the Quiver of Anariel? Any thoughts?

Um. The Quiver of Anariel was made by:

Thomas M. Costa

It can be found at this web sight:

Page on WoTC's Forgotten Realms web site (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=books/fr/lonedrowstats)

The rules allow you to make one with anywhere from Masterwork to +5 arrows, with options to make them Cold Iron, Adamantine or Alchemical.

If you want to trade out a +1 for flaming, go ahead.

That link has already been posted. The problem is, I want something I can upgrade as I go along. For flavor purposes. I do lots of things just for flavor purposes.
