I would like to know if there is an official ability that you can enchant on a composite bow to have it adjust it's strength rating to its wielder rather than being a set number?

I remember seeing it on a bow, might have been complete champion. If there isn't one, would it be considered a +1 enhancement ability? I wouldn't think it would be anything more than that.

I believe it was called the "elven greatbow" or some such. But it was a new specific magic item, so you would have to reverse-engineer the power onto another item. And I think you had to be an elf to wield it.

Ah, thanks for reminding me of the elf thing. It is the bow of elvenkind that I was thinking of. My character is an elf so that isn't a problem.

I'll have to check it out later when I have my books.

There is a bow in the MIC call the wintermoon bow or some similar name that automatically adjust to your strength..
