Brambles: too powerful? [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-31-07, 11:30 PM Hey, I'm looking at the 2nd level cleric spell Brambles (Spell Compendium page 38) and I'm wondering if it's just a touch too powerful for a second level spell, what do you think?

The restriction to only wooden weapons reduces it's usefulness.

Duration of 1 round/level reduces its usefulness.

Magic Weapon (and MW, greater) are on par.

The only nice part is that it gives up to +10 enhancement bonus to damage. But at level 10, there are better buffs that should take priority over this one.

It is a decent spell, not great though.

04-03-07, 04:41 PM Most of my friends and I do not allow it as a Cleric spell but as Druid only. And we only allow Spikes on normal unmodified (by magic) wood weapons as well.
