Hi,

Probably a stupid question... but here goes:

Does a monk loose his AC bonus from Wisdom when wearing a small buckler?

Yes. A monk does loose his AC bonus.

From the SRD:
These bonuses to AC apply even against touch attacks or when the monk is flat-footed. She loses these bonuses when she is immobilized or helpless, when she wears any armor, when she carries a shield, or when she carries a medium or heavy load.

And a buckler is a type of shield.

I think you might, possibly be looking at it as something distinct from them. They are just small ones that leave your hand free.

If you can get your party wizard/sorcerer to help your monk, there's a spell called Shieldbearer which lets somebody get the full value of a real shield without actually "using" it.

This may be a stupid question but why is this thread in the magic and spells forum? Seems like it belongs in classes and prestige classes or arms and equipment or even whats a player to do and the rules subsection of whats a DM to do.
