I created a Metamagic Feat called Mass. This feat allows a spell that is non-offensive in nature (all the time, thus it could not be applied to a heal spell and used against undead) and affects a single target to affect 1 target per caster level. Now, I think that the trade off should be 2 levels, as I have seen an example of this in a pair of spells, 'Darkvision' and 'Mass Darkvision', a 2nd and 4th level spell respectively. Now, instead of having to learn the low level single target spell and then learn a multi target version of the same spell, the caster can instead pick up this feat and make those low level spells count for more! |
