If a druid cast burrowing on himself, and maybe the rest of the party, how does vision work and sense of direction while burrowing?

I haven't looked at the spell, but unless it gives some special kind of vision, the druid's pretty much blind.

If he has 5 ranks of Survival, however, he automatically knows which direction is north.

You are pretty much blind.

You think that's silly?

Look at Earth Elementals.

They don't even have the ability to smell metals or tremorsense that Xorn have.

But they do have Darkvision, so helpfull for a creature that spends 99% of it's life in the ground.

All of this is very depressing.

I'm not really sure how this applies but as I've never used it or seen it used for a long period of time sight typically wasn't an issue. I mean the few times I've used it, it was for for 5 ft down, 20 ft forward and 5 ft up, or just a few feet between cavern/mine passages.
