What is the formula for a wizard buying spells?

From the rules (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicOverview/arcaneSpells.htm#addingSpellstoaWizardsS pellbook):
"In most cases, wizards charge a fee for the privilege of copying spells from their spellbooks. This fee is usually equal to the spell’s level × 50 gp."
and/or
"A spell takes up one page of the spellbook per spell level"
"Materials for writing the spell cost 100 gp per page."

Or possibly your meant this (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/equipment/goodsAndServices.htm#spellcastingAndServ ices):
"to get a spellcaster to cast a spell for you" costs spell level x "Caster level × 10 gp"

Or this (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicItems/creatingMagicItems.htm#creatingScrolls):
"cost for scribing the scroll—12.5 gp × the level of the spell × the level of the caster" (cost to buy is twice this)

I would just say it costs the same as buying a scroll (which is how a spell would be transferred from one wizard to another).

Thanks, i was shooting for getting it from another's spellbook.

One more quick question; so scribing 0 level spells onto a scroll are free?

Assuming you mean scribing it into your spellbook, no. A 0-level spell takes up one page and cost 100gp to scribe it in.

One more quick question; so scribing 0 level spells onto a scroll are free? Two answers:

1. Yes. Since you start the game with *all* 0-level spells. :D
2. No. steventirey1985 has already explained why.

Either I didn't see all of the question, or it was changed after I answered, but here is the answer for this one:

It costs half of what a first level scroll would cost to make a 0-level scroll. The cost would be 6 gp, 2sp, 5 cp and 1 xp point to make a 0-level scroll.

No, you read it correctly, I edited it. Did you have any source on that? I'm not trying to be combative I would just like it for future reference.

From the SRD:
0-Level Spells
When multiplying spell levels to determine value, 0-level spells should be treated as ½ level.
