I'm already fairly certain of what I want it to do, but have zero experience with pricing magical items; so I turn to the fine folks here at the WizForums for aid. The item in question is a featureless white mask with no mouth, only eyes and a nose. On the forehead is a red handprint (if you're familiar with Rokugan, it's like "the Wolf's" mask). It enhances the wearers abilities, but also drains away a portion of his life while worn; the longer it's worn the more powerful the enhancements. Round 1: Move action to don: Fire Resistance 5, +2 Cha. Round 2: The weapon in the wearers main hand gains a +1 enchantment bonus; if unarmed the bonus is bestowed on the wearers hand and the wearer is considered armed. -1 Con. Round 3: The weapon in the wearers main hand gains the Flaming property; if unarmed it is bestowed on the wearers hand. -1 Con. Round 4: Haste on the wearer. -1 Con. Round 5: Fire Shield on the wearer. -1 Con. After this point the wearer has to make a Fort save (DC 10+# of rounds worn) every round or he loses another point of Con. The Haste and Fire Shield effects are renewed if their duration expires or if dispelled at the beginning of the wearers next turn. It's a bit odd, but that's how I'm looking to run it. I just have no idea how to price it and need some help. Asi the Red. |
