| dolgar08-30-06, 10:29 AM | Sorry if this has been asked before... I a shapeshift druid (PHBII) in normal form casts call lightning, then say shapeshifts into his aerial form, can he continue to call down lightning bolts as a standard action, as all that is required is concentration, not casting a spell? |
| runestar08-30-06, 10:37 AM | Wouldn't shapeshifting break concentration? Take the natural spell feat so you can cast spells while wildshaped.:) |
| CantripN08-30-06, 12:22 PM | He can't, which is good. The PHB2 varient doesn't allow spellcasting in any form while shifted. It is infinite, though. Call Lightning: I'd say you can, but not on the round you shifted, even if you did that as a free action somehow. |
| Vegepygmy08-30-06, 01:14 PM | Wouldn't shapeshifting break concentration?Probably, but call lightning doesn't require you to maintain concentration, so that's irrelevant. Dolgar: yes, it would work. |

| dolgar08-31-06, 09:57 AM | Sorry, spell requires a standard action to concentrate on the spell to call a lightning bolt, not to maintain the spell. |
