Hello,

My question is this.

Can A druid Wild Shape then cast (he can cast while in wils shape form) Animal Growth on himself?

I have been trying to read up on the "stacking" of transmutation/polymorph type spells. I checked the FAQ, but I still wasn't to clear on the whole thing.

I have a Huge Druid Dire Bear running around and he is asking if he can cast the spell that grants you another limb for another monsterous attack.

I don't know about polymorphs but you can certainly animal growth yourself in wild shape.

Yes, if you have the Natural Spell feat, or are an animal that can meet the Verbal and Semantic components (Legendary Ape? Dire Parrot?).

Wildshape works like the Alternate Form ability.

Alternate Form says you retain the type and subtype of your original form (with the exception for the aquatic subtype).

Animal Growth only works on animals.

Therefore, a druid who uses wildshape cannot use Animal Growth on himself/herself.

On the flip side, they can use Enlarge Person (presuming they are a humanoid to begin with) to increase their size but the benefits of enlarge person are substantially weaker than Animal Growth.
