| Zangalas01-16-05, 10:04 AM | There is a character in my group who uses the Ring of Shocking Grasp from S&F, who now wants to use the Shocking enhancement on his Necklace of Natural Weapons. These should stack, right? |
| Seeker9501-16-05, 07:05 PM | Nope. At least not technically. The ring does Xd6 electrical damage. The enhancement does 1d6 electrical damage. In my campaign, I do allow stacking of energy damages. I would allow someone to place more than one "shocking" (at +1 each) onto a single weapon. Just as you could have shocking flaming frost (doing 1d6 of each of the three types), you could also put all your eggs in one basket, causing 3d6 electrical. The weapon is still +3 worth of energy enhancement bonuses. Since you could use the ring of shocking grasp with a fire-based weapon, I see no reason to not allow it to stack with an electrical-based weapon. Just more oomph of the same type instead of more oomph of mixed types. Your DM may disagree. |
