The ability to hustle while magically flying, is that solely the granted benifet of that spell "overland flight" or is that how all magical flying works (which would then grant this hustleing movement to fell flight as well)?? (snip from the spell overland flight) you can hustle without taking nonlethal damage (a forced march still requires Constitution checks). This means you can cover 64 miles in an eight-hour period of flight (or 48 miles at a speed of 30 feet). |

It's how movement works in general. Movement in Combat: Generally, you can move your speed in a round and still do something (take a move action and a standard action). If you do nothing but move (that is, if you use both of your actions in a round to move your speed), you can move double your speed. If you spend the entire round running, you can move quadruple your speed. If you do something that requires a full round you can only take a 5-foot step. Since fell flight gives you a flight speed equal to your land speed, you can certainly fly double your speed in a round, hustling. The question is then a matter of fatigue. While there is no explicit rule for fell flight, the rule you quote for overland flight is pretty convincing. As a DM I'd allow fell flight to be treated in the same manner. |
