Can an ogre use domain ability from Gluttony [Archive] - Wizards Community

06-04-07, 08:51 PM Hey guys. I wanted to make a big fat ogre cleric who worshiped food and ate everything, but i have a question. Is an Ogre (giant type) able to use the granted domain ability from gluttony? The wording implies... maybe.

I'd be tempted to allow it (regardless of type), however ... it does fit, thematically.

06-04-07, 09:06 PM From a strict reading of the rules I would say no. Enlarge Person doesn't work on them, so the granted ability wouldn't either.

I was confused, as i know that enlarge person can't affect an ogre, but the domain ability seems to imply that an ogre would gain the effects, despite being giant type. Or maybe it wouldn't. Gah! I think Im reading too much into this. I'll just ask if its kosher with my DM. Thanks again!
