ok, my favorite character is currently an epic barbarian, but before he gained epic status i gave him three levels in frenzied berserk. why? because i wanted supreame cleave. my problem is that i hated the frenzy ability so much, hes chaotic good and would never want to hurt his friends. so i blew ALOT of gold and had a cleric cast a miracle spell on him, getting rid of the frenzies. now however we have a new DM, and hes not as lenient with the rules. he dosent know if miracle can change things like that or not and i dont understand the spells like wish and miracle well enough to know what they can and cant do aside from whats in the book, could somone help and explain what miracle is about in detaile so we can just move on with our lives?

Miracle can do anything as long as the cleric is willing to blow the experience and the deity is willing to grant it. In my campaign, I would not allow it. You chose to punk out your barbarian in a power grab and then undermine the balance factor that comes with it. A frenzied berserker frenzies. Deal with it.

As DM, I would allow the miracle if and only if:
The deity of the cleric is a pacifist, in which case the spell would strip the frenzy *and* rage.

You want something for nothing.
Your current DM is wise if he negates what your previous munchkin herder was willing to bestow.

well the diety was the patron diety of the subrace that my character is that we made for our sessions, and it wasnt something for nothing in my old GMs rulings because i was giving up a potentially useful ability perminently and had done so much already to further the goals of my characters people. still i dont want those frenzies back and id be willing to take some kind of gaies or something or do something else to keep them away without giving up the rages. i REALLY need the rages to keep everyones rear ends out of the cookfire if you know what i mean. still if you have any other ideas of what to offer up id be increadably greatful

Well, it sounds like you're willing to "work with it".
A few things to maybe consider, in an effort to "appease" the deity / convince the DM.

1. Give up Rage as well. (This is a big hit)
2. Convert Frenzied Berserker levels directly to Barbarian.
3. Quest for the deity: recover his missing artifact.
4. Convert (take levels of cleric from this point on)
5. Take a negative level... permanantly.

well the first and last ones are probably last resort, the frenzied to barbarian conversion would end the supreme cleave, but if worse comes to worse i can live with that. the convert thing would be a second choice, Forge (my barbarian) isnt much one for orgenized anything but im sure that being a cleric in such a traditionally chaotic society wouldnt be that bad, and COULD help round him out, but i think that ill ask for the quest first, after all it wouldnt be the first time.

still i thank you, this is a BIG help, this has been one of the three things about my char my new DM hates and now i can concentrate on my artafact axe (which is balanced dispite what he says) and my claim about killing kabolds by scaring them into trampling each other.
thanks so very much
