I ask because, unlike Fog Cloud and other spells that provide concealment (which Blindsight can ignore) Sleet Storm simply "blocks all sight" (apparently even foes 5' away or closer are effectively invisible to you inside a Sleet Storm). Since we seem to be talking about sleet that acts as a material blocking sight, would this also block Blindsight? Jay |

| mr.unknown08-24-05, 08:08 PM | even though the ability is called blindSIGHT, the ability itself is defined in the DMG as something like: a set of senses that are so acute that you can sense your exact surroundings even in magical darkness or other conditions that obscures vision. It does not specify which sensory organ you're using, it could be sound, smell, or vision. So if you get the blindsight ability from say... a spell like listening lorecall, where your acute ability to hear gives you blindsight, then I would say yes, your blindsight will "see" through a sleet storm, but if its based on vision, then i'd say its questionable. |
