| Grizwald12-20-05, 12:04 AM | Hi I'm a noob Dm and was just wondering if Turn Undead can be countered by another Turn Undead spell?. For example a "good" cleric attempts to turn a bunch of undead being controlled by a "evil" cleric, can the evil cleric counter the good cleric's turn attempt with his own readied turn undead spell the same way arcane spell casters use counter spell.? |

The difference between the two is, that if you could counter a turning atempt it could prevent an undead from being destroyed. Since Turning can only be dispeled and not countered, if the good cleric destroys the undead with his turn attempt, the undead is no longer there for the evil cleric to save. |

I am sorry, I didn't mean to mislead you with this, but you cannot use the spell Dispel Magic to undo a good cleric's turning. The evil cleric must use a rebuke attempt to dispel the turning. The rules for how this works are on page 159 of the PHB. If you want to buff the encounter, look at the feats in Libra Mortis. |
