can negativ energy normally damage a troll? [Archive] - Wizards Community

11-26-04, 10:26 AM Negative energy that is expressed as damage (e.g. cause serious wounds) cannot kill a troll, although the cause might be negative energy it is still hit point damage so regeneration does apply to it.

Negative energy that is expressed in other forms (e.g. level drain or ability drain) can kill a troll.

I'd say that this is reasonable.
