One topic that came up recently was that of mixing potions. From what it says in the DMG (3.0 and SRD) there is nothing on this topic. So, what is the rule? For example:

May I mix a potion of Bull's Strength and a potion of Invisibility, put them in a bottle, and them drink them together later as a single action, to get a double-effect.
May I drink one potion, and then drink another the next round (or must I wait for the first one to wear off).

Any ideas (or references!). Thanks

a. No, you may not.
b. Yes, you may.

Houserules may create different outcomes.

In regards to the first question -- you can mix them together, but you'll spoil the magic and effectively ruin both of the potions. Similarly, emptying the contents of your cure moderate wounds potion into the town water fountain won't heal everybody that drinks from it. Though you could set up a tidy tourist income that way with a little rumor-spreading... :)

In seconed edition they had rules to this. In 3rd they took them out.

Thanks to everyone that replied. That was precisely the information that I needed.
