Awhile ago I saw a spell in one of the books that causes fruit bearing trees to grow their fruit instantly, but now that I need it, I can't find it in any of my books. I know it's a druid spell (kinda obvious considering what it does), but can't remember the level or name. Could someone tell me the name of the spell and point me towards the book it's in? Thanks.

Plant growth can improve crops. Perhaps that is what you are thinking of?
Or maybe vine mine from Magic of Faerun?

I already checked plant growth, that only improved crops...the spell I'm trying to hunt down makes plants grow their fruits/vegetables instantly (or it could be over a day)...One of my friends (who never goes on any D&D message boards or looks at custom spells) has seen the same spell (he's also a druid tweak), but he can't remember which book he saw it in either, so I'm pretty sure it wasn't a spell I came across on here or another message board.

Then I am confident it is not in a WotC supplement.
Perhaps a website spell? Or a third party product?

Doesn't sound like it's a very game breaking spell. In my opinion you should just wing it. Put it at level three, give it a minute cast time and an intricately carved twig (5gp cost) material component. Probably makes the tree bear no more fruit for the rest of the season too.

Would you mind my asking what you would use such a spell for?

How about just make one? ;)

Instant Bloom
School: Transmutation
Level: Druid 2
Components: V, S, M
Casting Time: 1 minute
Range: Plants touched, up to 1 plant/3 levels
Duration: Instant
Saving Throw: Fortitude Negates (harmless)
Spell Resistance: Yes

Description: By uttering a short poetic verse dedicated to Nature and the Cycle of Growth, the Druid can cause plants to bloom instantly. The spell causes the natural cycle of the plant to be instantaneous. The plants touched instantly bloom to maturity; trees grow fruit, flowers bloom, vegetables ripen.

The plants affected will bloom at the end of the casting of the spell, effectively removing them from the Natural Cycle. They will no longer bloom during the current years cycle. Otherwise, the plants will behave normally.

The material component is some compost and fresh dirt that is mixed and spread on the plants.

The use of the spell? My druid has a custom magic item, a bag that generates tree tokens. It lets me pick what kind of tree grows, instead of the standard oak. So he uses it to create apple trees for people that need food, and this spell would let him make the tree automaticly have fruit on it, since it doesn't grow from the token with fruit already on it. It isn't intended to have any combat value at all, just helping people in the campaign out of battle.

It isn't a spell... but in the A&EG, there's the Fruit Blossom Spike. They're single-use, 5800 GP, but instantly produces something similar to a maximized Goodberry spell.
