I am hoping that I simply overlooked something and someone can point out the passage to me. I realize that this might sound like a silly question but, can you get partial effect from a spell? Here is what I mean by getting partial effect: If a spell has multiple effects (such as Haste, Bite of the Werebear, Ice Storm, or Flamestrike) can you take (or gain) only part of the effects? The way my group plays things, if a creature is immune to cold damage (say a read dragon) he still takes all of (half on a save) the divine damage, same thing goes with ice storm and a creature immude to cold. Is this right? Where do the rules state it? If I am wearing boots of Striding and Springing or bracers of blinding strike do I still gain the other benefits granted by haste? If I am a creature that has no hands (say a druid wildshaped as a shreeker mushroom or shambling mound) since I no longer have hands (or a face as a shreeker) do I still gain the enhancement bonuses and feats granted by Bite of the Werebear? |

"Half the damage is fire damage, but the other half results directly from divine power and is therefore not subject to being reduced by resistance to fire-based attacks." It doesn't get much clearer than that. |
