| Beamup11-02-04, 01:58 PM | I would have to say no, it's not an effect. It's part of the mechanic for deciding what happens rather than something the spell makes happen. |
| calypso11-02-04, 02:00 PM | Nope, the spell calls for a caster level check, which is something entirely separate from the effects of the spell itself. It's similar to trying to empower a spell in order to increase the check to bypass SR. Just not gonna happen. Calypso |
| tarkin11-02-04, 02:10 PM | No you can not Empower Dispell Magic. However, you can use the feats Twin Spell (+4) and Repeat Spell (+3) on Dispell Magic. At 11th level, you are generally better off casting a Repeated Dispell Magic than a Greater Dispell Magic. Even at 15th level, it is usually a better deal. |
| Shatteredtower11-05-04, 03:54 AM | Especially since it sucker-punches anyone with a ring of counterspells prepared for greater dispel magic. |
