Are the ones listed in the DMG just suggestions? Can you make a wand out of any Ranger spell?

as long as you have the feat, and the spell is below 4th lvl, it doesnt matter if the actual spell is divine or arcane.

Just nitpicking, but any spell of 4th level or lower can be put in a wand. There may be some spells that say they cannot be put into a wand, but I have yet to see any.

Also, you dont need the feat yourself, provided you know someone who does. You can work together to create magical items.

Yes, you can make a wand out of any spell 4th level or lower. Note that the range will still be the same as the original spell (Personal range spell? You're only using that on yourself, sorry).

Also note that you'll being paying any costly component (material, XP, whatever) 50 times, for fifty charges. So, don't do those spells in a wand.

Other than that, anything's good. Do remember that Paladin and Ranger wands might be prone to suckage, as they've got the half caster level dealy.

On the working together to create magic items, where is that written exactly? It would make things a lot easier for my artificer.

Nevermind, I see it now (pg 282 DMG 3.5).

On the working together to create magic items, where is that written exactly? It would make things a lot easier for my artificer.I can't tell you where it is located in the 3.5 DMG, but I can tell you the page and section where it is located in the 3.0 DMG. Page 241, second collumn, second paragraph under the heading CREATING MAGIC ITEMS:Note that all items have prerequisites in their descriptions. These prerequisites must be met for the item to be created. Most of the time, they take the form of spells that must be known by the item's creator (although access through another magic item or spellcaster is allowed). So, in the case of our theoretical Ranger, he is not the item creator, the wizard or cleric that helps him is; the ranger merely provides the spell.
