no, weapon enhancements are not subject to SR.
an exception would be if the weapon actually hits you with a spell (say, a spell-storing weapon) - that spell might be subject to SR.

From the SRD:

Only spells and spell-like abilities are subject to spell resistance. Extraordinary and supernatural abilities (including enhancement bonuses on magic weapons) are not. A creature can have some abilities that are subject to spell resistance and some that are not.

Spell resistance doesn't help against the elemental damage dice, but the appropriate energy resistance does.

So a demon with fire and cold resistance 5 will probably ignore most of the extra damage from flaming and/or frost weapons.

But is it 5 every hit with said energy or 5 for the whole round???

I believe it is 5 the entire round. So if you get 4 attacks a round, and you roll a 5 for your first flaming burst hit, the other 3 will do full damage.

3.0 was like this, but 3.5's elemental resistence applies to each source of damage.

Yup, in 3.0 it was for the full round.

They made the ability more powerful in 3.5 by making it per attack. Energy resistance now works like the inverse of DR.

So in 3.5, if you attack someone with a flaming longsword 5 times in a round, and deal 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 damage respectively, someone with fire resistance 5 will take 0 damage from the flames. In 3.0, fire resistance 5 could be overcome, and in this example they'd have taken 10 fire damage in that round.

Now I have yet another reason to hate 3.5! Yay! -_-;
