cantrip limits. [Archive] - Wizards Community

11-29-04, 08:42 PM why is it that arcane casters don't recieve bonus 0-lvl spells for high ability scores?
to me it makes no sense to "know" every single cantrip in the game, but to only be able to cast 4 per day reguardless.

11-29-04, 09:03 PM I agree it doesn't make sense. Being so easy to master, I would think a caster could use them quite often each day.

An easy fix is to give a number of bonus 0-level spells equal to twice the amount of bonus 1st level spells. This works with the fact the a 0-level spell works like 1/2 a 1st level spell for many different things.
