Capacious Crossbow Clip [Archive] - Wizards Community

Its really just a reworked Efficient Quiver.

I have an NPC fighter in my game heavily specialized with a repeating crossbow and 5 bolts in a clip just don't cut it now the group are 16th level.

Anyway does this seem like a fair item or is it hideously broken?

Capacious Crossbow Clip

This appears to be a typical clip for a repeating crossbow capable of holding 5 bolts.
However it contains a nondimensional space allowing it to store far more than would normally be possible.
It can hold 100 crossbow bolts.
The Capacious Crossbow Clip weighs the same no matter what’s placed inside it.

Moderate conjuration; CL 9th; Craft Wondrous Item, secret chest; Price 1,800 gp; Weight 1 lb.

05-18-06, 09:44 AM It looks fine to me I think I've seen a simalar Item before but it was built in to the Crossbow. But I like that the clip is enchanted thats kind of cool. :)

05-18-06, 07:43 PM That's a neat idea. No more powerfull than Enhlonna's Quiver, since it can hold 3 types of weapons.

05-19-06, 02:29 AM The Reloading property already does this. It is a +2 enhancement. That is vastly more costly than your proposed cost.

But Repeating Crossbow essentially reload themselves as long as there is ammo in the clip.
