Just wondering how many ways there are to cast a spell and make an attack in the same round.

1. Quickened spell + full attack
2. Havoc Mage PrC (Minatures Handbook) battlecast special ability
3. Draconic Bloodline feat (dragon?) + Dragon Claw feat (also Dragon?) gives you a swift action claw attack when you cast a spell.
4. Casting a touch spell gives you a free touch attack, but that doesnt really count.

Anyone know any others?

The daggerspell mage and daggerspell shaper (both PrCs from CAv) have a class ability that allows them to do what you're looking for.

The Heroic Surge feat is probably the easiest way...

Contingent spell and full attack.

Familiar spell should also work.

The psionic power Schism can let you full attack and manifest a power every round. Not sure if you will count psionics as "casting spells" for your purposes.

- Use Contingency spell.
- Use Spell-storing weapon.
- Use Spell that is a free action (example: feather fall).
- Start casting "casting time: 1 round" spell on the previous round

Cast a spell then make an attack of opportunity.

Heroic Surge... where is that from? Its in the Eberron Campaign Setting, though it would only work if your game uses action points.

Spellrazor feat lets you cast & attack with touch spell, and attack with a quickrazor in off-hand, as a full round action. But the requirement is too demanding.

Ahem... The "Havoc Mage" from the miniatures handbook has exactly that as it's special ability (cast a spell and make a melee attack in the same round as a full-round action). However, you lose a couple of spell casting level to do it. On the upside though you will eventually get to do it with up to 9th level spells.
