| VardusAlexanderIckben11-24-03, 06:26 AM | My character is a 6th level Priest of Asterius (We are playing on Mystara) and has just purchased the Craft Wondrous Items feat. I would like to make some of the following magic items and before I mail them to my DM maybe you could offer your feedback on them. Magnificent Goggles of Lifemonitoring... (or something like that :)) This set of goggles enables the wearer to see the life force of creatures and how strong it is present in them. When the wearer looks at a person within 30ft a "healthbar" of some sort flashes in the display of the goggles, showing the general helath condition of that person. Besides this power the goggles has three buttons each activating a different color shutter that show new information about the sorroundings. Button 1) Activates the blue shutter and enables the wearer to detect magical auras for 1 minute in a 60ft spread 1/day. Button 2) Activates the green shutter which will detect the destructive energies of poisons and toxins within 30ft both inside and outside of creatures for 10 minutes 3/day. Button 3) Activates the red shutter which reveals the evil nature and intentions of creatures and objects within 60ft for 10 minutes 1/day. Caster Level: 6th Prerequisites: Detect Evil, Detect Magic, Detect Poison, Deathwatch and Craft Wondrous Items. Market Price: 6430gp Xp cost: 129 Days to create: 3 Gauntlets of Knockdown These heavy battered metal gauntlets is inscribed with runes on the knuckles that glow with a faint bluish light. The gauntlets run all the way up to the elbow for support. When the commandword "Dust to dust" is uttered the runes glow brighter and if used to strike an opponent will initiate a bull rush as a large creature with strength 25 and do 3d6 points of subdual damage regardless of user strength. Also the recipient of the hit will have to make a reflex save or be knocked prone. This can be done 3/day. These gauntlets can only be used by Warriors with a strength score of 15 or more. Caster level: 5th Prerequisites: Shockwave (ref. Legends and Lairs: "Spells and Spellcraft" pg. 41) and Craft Wondrous Items. Market Price: 8894gp Xp cost: 178 Days to create: 4 Robe of Divine Raiment This silvery grey robe will protect the wearer from intentional harm by making all who wants to attack him make a will save DC 13 or lose the attack. This effect can be envoked 3 times a day by using the command word "Holy shine, shine for me" and lasts for 10 rounds. Everytime the magic of the robe makes a creature not attack the wearer a silvery shine flashes across it that can be seen by all within 100ft, making it very difficult to hide (-5 to hide skill) while actively using the robe. The user can attack, cast spells, heal buddies etc... Do anything while using the cloaks power without breaking the spell that prevents creatures from attacking. Usable only by good clerics, paladins and rangers. Caster level: 6th Prerequisites: Divine Raiment (ref. Sword and Sorcery: "Relics and Rituals" pg. 67) and Craft Wondrous Items. Market Price: 22234gp Xp cost: 445 Days to create: 11 Weeping Stone This little dark smooth stone always looks and feels wet. When intentionally placed in a container of some kind before sundown(Waterskin, barrel, bowl etc.) it will fill the container over night. It will never create more water than needed to fill the container and it will never fill a container larger than 5x5x5 ft. in one night. If put inside an empty waterskin it will keep the waterskin filled with fresh water indefinately. Caster level: 3rd Prerequisites: Create Water and Craft Wondrous Items. Market price: 2000gp Xp cost: 40 Days to create: 1 Cloak of Drama At first glance this cloak looks rather ordinary, but when donned the wearer will immediately know that it is magical and how that magic works. 10 rounds a day (not necessarily consecutive, like with boots of speed) the wearer according to the situation can increase his dramatic impression on his opponents, allies, debate-buddies etc. through special effects like glowing eyes, billowing cloak and hair, exagerrated sound during combat, light trails after sword cuts etc. Combat: + 2 deflection bonus to AC, +1 enhancement bonus to hit, allies within 10ft gains +2 morale bonus to attack rolls. Those in combat with the subject are intitled to a will save DC 13 to avoid these effects. Conversation: +2 enhancement bonus to intimidation, bluff and diplomacy. Performance: +4 enhancement bonus to perform. This cloak was created specifically for a good friend of Vardus Alexander Ickben, named Petja. Petja is a rogue/bard and Vardus made the limitation that only bards with 5 ranks in perform can use this cloak. Caster level: 6th Prerequisites: Dramatic Visage (Legends and Lairs: "Spells and Spellcraft" pg. 20) and Craft Wondrous Items. Market price: 8640gp Xp cost: 173 Days to create: 4-5 What do you think about these items...? Is there anything you would do different? |
| VardusAlexanderIckben11-24-03, 06:52 AM | My group and I was wondering about the possiblities of making a mouthpiece for the "Decanter of Endless Water" called the "Holyfier". In gameterms it should bless all the water being sprayed from it, actually making it a "crazy undead-killing supersoaker 2004X", doing huge amounts of damage to undeads both from direct hits and splash. Imagine a lich-king hosed down with 30 gallons (225 pints) of holy water PER ROUND. 1 pint of this holy **** deals 2d4 points of unsavable damage to undead creature, what would 30 gallons do????? The price-breakdown of this item wouldn't be so bad actually, but of course our DM could set the caster level way up there... like 15th or something (which would take some time as we are all around 6th level right now) Bless Water is a 1st level spell and it costs 25gp per casting, as there is no value changing with the caster level it could be set to 1st and then it would be a use-activated item. (1x1x2000) + (25x100) = Base price 4500gp Xp cost 180 and take 4-5 days to create... Is this nasty or what??? :D What do you think guys and guyesses??? |
| VardusAlexanderIckben11-25-03, 03:30 AM | Did I do that...? :embarrass |
