Now it allows an additional attack but no other action, which is kind of sad for people who want do do other thinks than walking and striking but be it. Battletide from Magic of Fearun also grants an extra action and doesn't stack with haste according errata. Which is based on 3.0 since now the spell doesn't grant actions anymore. So, question is: Is there besides Quicken Spell and Sudden Quicken Spell any way to cast two times a round (spells that are inherently swift not included)? Or is Battletide available in a 3.5 version (for I'm not sure if it fits with 3.5 since it grants an action and haste doesn't). I think that WizardsOfTheCoast offically licensed the Player's Guide to Kalamer (from Kenzer&Co) as offical Rulebook VI. It includes the Spellhaste Spell that costs 10 gp and needs tea prepared within the last 8 hours as component but allows to cast as move-equivalent action. But this seems to be somewhat overpowered, especially for Sor/Wiz 2 if Haste doesn't grant an extra action anymore. Thanks, Heinrich |

Its handy for storing spells like True Strike so you don't have to waste a round before shooting off that crucial maximized, empowered Enervation. |

| Lord Schpungus08-23-05, 04:13 PM | double casting via haste was broken. Now you have to Quicken to get two spells off, and thank [Deity] for that. |
| tarkin08-23-05, 07:55 PM | Ways to cast twice or more a round: 1) Quicken/other swift actions. 2) Cohort/other live ally 3) Intelligent magic item 4) Contigency 5) Shape Change to Choker 6) Cast Time stop. These can all be combined. I.E. In one round you can yell for your cohort to heal you, your magic weapon to detect undead, cast a quickened magic missile, activate your contigency (when I cast magic missile, cast shield on me), then cast a Time Stop, then Shape Change into a choker in your Time stop, then use your two standard actions/round in the Time stop simulated rounds to buff yourself up. |
