Snarf 03-09-05, 04:00 PM	Here's something that came up in our last gaming session: Summon Nature's Ally IX allows a druid to summon a celestial charger, which according to the MM is a celestial unicorn. The example celestial charger shown in the MM entry for unicorn has quite a few levels of cleric as well. A "celestial charger" is just a unicorn with the celestial template. Such a creature would not be anywhere near the power level of other SNA9 options. We concluded that it was intended that SNA9 was meant to summon the example celestial charger with cleric levels. Any opinions on this one? In this particular battle, the major benefit was summoning an ally that could cast Restoration, which incidentally is not on the druid spell list...and of course, being a cleric, it's quite the healing battery. This could also be considered a more general question, if there are other SM/SNA options that refer to MM entries with (or without) class levels added in the example.
