| Endarire01-06-07, 11:18 PM | Let's assume I'm a L14 wizard who's against 10 small water elementals and an enemy cleric with the Luck domain who has a spell turning up to absorb 10 levels of spells. 1: Does spell turning apply if a chain lightning spell makes the cleric a secondary target? Would the lightning arc back on the primary target or to me? 2: If I make the cleric my primary target and the spell is reflected, am I now the primary target for the purposes of arcing the lightning? -EE |
| Tiarn01-06-07, 11:38 PM | Wow, this is one I hadn't thought of before. I'm pretty sure that if the primary target was the one with spell turning it would still arc to others based on where she is standing. You just take the damage. And if the secondary target is the one with spell turning, you just take the damage. I'm not sure if this is RAW but this is how I'd make it work. Hope that helps...:) |

| Aricomus01-06-07, 11:46 PM | i think that if you (the cleric in your example) were the primary target, then the original caster becomes the new primary target. If you are a secondary target, then spell turing shouldnt work |
| Tiarn01-06-07, 11:49 PM | ... If you are a secondary target, then spell turing shouldnt work  I wouldn't see why that is the case. Secondary or primary you are still a target and spell turning reflects targeted spells. |
| Aricomus01-07-07, 12:07 AM | good point... ok then i'd say it goes bak to the caster |
| Merestil Haye01-07-07, 05:26 AM | If the cleric is the primary target it will arc back to you. Secondary targets will receive their damage, provided they are within 30' of you; those that are further away will not be affected. If the cleric is a secondary target, then I'd play it that the spell is turned back on you. |
