For example you set a contingent Tenser's Transformation to activate whenever you are effected by Body of War, set a contingent Shield to activate whenever you are effected by Tenser's Transformation, and set contingent Body of War to activate when you have no more spells prepared or spell slots left. What do you think? |

For instance, say you had an Etherealness that you wanted to trigger under multiple conditions: 1) You're grappled or otherwise physically bound. 2) You're knocked unconcious with foes around you. 3) You're falling and about to hit the ground from a significant height. 4) You trigger it manually via a command phrase. Setting up 4 Contingent Etherealnesses would be very expensive, but setting up one Contingent Etherealness (Trigger: my eyes turn red), and 4 Contingent Prestidigitation spells (set to turn my eyes red in response to the above conditions) is a lot more affordable. |

This would also prevent the falling and about to hit the ground contingency as it only activates on thing that have happened not in anticapation of events. The fall unconcious could not be set for if foes are nearby as the contingency only considers thing happening to you, although you could set it to activate if you are knocked unconcious by being driven negative HP or made unconcious by a spell effect. You could set the falling for anytime you fall or if you fall a certain distance (say 20ft) at one time. |
