Changing Energy [Archive] - Wizards Community

02-25-05, 02:33 PM Could someone refresh my memory on what allows a spellcastor to change his spells into a different energy (like fire to cold, etc)? Is it a feat, ability, spell, etc? It would be very helpful if someone could get let me know what it is, because I can't remember, but I know there is something like it.

02-25-05, 03:40 PM For Energy Substitution Feat, does the spell take up a slot a level or more higher? If so, how many?

02-25-05, 04:29 PM Energy Substitution doesn't add levels to the metamagic'd spell. But, you do need ranks in Knowledge Arcana (5 I think) to get it, which is a little pain if it's a cross-class skill for you.
