| Dheran09-08-06, 04:42 AM | Prestidigitation works on objects, not creatures. The Ranger 1 spell Camouflage (Spell Compendium) makes your color(s) match the background color(s). But if you want independent choice of skin color, Alter Self (Bard 2, Sor/Wiz 2) will do it:You can freely designate the new form’s minor physical qualities (such as hair color, hair texture, and skin color) within the normal ranges for a creature of that kind. And you can also try Disguise Self (Brd 1, Sor/Wiz 1, Trickery 1):You make yourself—including clothing, armor, weapons, and equipment—look different. |

| mvincent09-08-06, 04:00 PM | Prestidigitation works on objects, not creatures. I believe you to be incorrect. That is not stated in its targetting line, nor in its description. I see no specific prohibition in using it to say, color your hair green. The middle line in the following description for it implies that there are some things you can only do to non-living matter, but that seems like an exception that proves that other things can be done to living matter: "It can color, clean, or soil items in a 1-foot cube each round. It can chill, warm, or flavor 1 pound of nonliving material. It cannot deal damage or affect the concentration of spellcasters." |
