| Elgonn01-10-05, 03:01 AM | I don't think the basic rules allow it but custom creation is almost entirely DM whim. It would probably be like unlimited use Disintegrate. Disruption still works on everything but dieties at least 5% of the time. Just hit it enough times. |
| tarkin01-10-05, 11:46 AM | Why not just make a Staff with whatever power you want? |
| isaac anthony01-10-05, 07:21 PM | so you're saying if it was physically a "staff" it would be OK, but not if it was a sword? WTF??? look, i'm trying to make BETTER versions of standard items (because a lot of them suck), and i just want suggestions on how much more they would cost... and how i should go-about making them. |
| taltamir01-10-05, 09:37 PM | well, i would take a leaf from the "unusual body locations" chart and just give a +50% cost for any spell thats on the improper item. For example, a sword instead of a staff, or or a staff instead of a shield. 2x the cost if you are changing an enchantment from a body slot to a slotless location. |
