| HyperactiveBuffalo01-24-06, 02:04 PM | I am appealing to the collective knowledge of the boards for a few questions about spells. I have loaned all of my books to a friend, so I cannot browse at leisure and this is a spell type I have never bothered with before. Basically, I want to know all spells that give a bonus to Diplomacy, Bluff, and/or Intimidate. any that help with Disguise would be cool too. Simple name of spell/name of book it is in would suffice, but retyping the particulars would be even better. I know about Beguiling Influence from the Warlock list, but to my knowledge that hasn't been printed as a spell, only as a warlock ability. Thanks in advance. |

The ever cost-effective eagle's splendor is also an option, as is heroism, or its big brother, greater heroism. All of these are available to sorcerers and wizards, while bards have some of them... |

If you're going to disguise your caster, Tongues is a good spell; it allows you to speak whichever language is necessary. (Personally, I've got a caster with a Hat of Disguise and a Medallion of Detect Thoughts. It's a neat concept--walking around unnoticed, reading people's brains. Arcane Sight, True Seeing, and other Divination spells fit nicely into this build if it interests you.) Glibness is a Bard spell, not sure if it's a Sor/Wiz spell, but it gives something like a +30 to Bluff and beats Zone of Truth. I'm sure there are others, but I can't think of them off the top of my head. |

I meant the Sorc/Wiz list, but even non Sorc/Wiz might be useful, as I may end up creating a spell myself and having a reference point for power level is always useful. I was thinking of turning Beguiling into a spell actually. +10 Bluff, Diplomacy, and Intimidate for 1 hour per level, Verbal and Somatic components. maybe 3rd level. But yeah... spells that already exist are far more useful. |
