This spell rapidly became a crowd favorite, and several gnome illusionists have offered considerable bounties for the spell formula. This spell creates short lived swirling fiery maelstrom disk of crackling energy. From the heart of this maelstrom, out launches several quasi-real, iridescent hopping mad Elite Combat Roosters. The caster can launch 1 rooster + 1 additional rooster for every 4 levels a caster has. [ Total number of roosters per spell casting is 1 Rooster at 3rd level, 2 at 4th level, 3 at 8th level, 4 at 12th level and so on.) As a free action, the roosters can be directed to attack any enemy or enemies (if you can launch multiple Elite Combat Roosters) within the spell range. If not directed to attack an enemy, as a standard action, the rooster can be directed to a particular point. Once so directed the rooster will only attack that designated target, if the target dies or the rooster cannot reach the target for any reason, they will remain as close as possible to the target until the spell duration runs out. If the rooster moves beyond the spell range, it simply winks out of existence. When attacking, the rooster will always attempt to flank an opponent. The rooster is considered a summon monster. Elite Combat Rooster, Combat ability. The Combat Rooster’s base attack bonus is equal to the casters base attack bonus. Armor class is 15 (+2 Size, +3 Dex) Hit points are equal to ˝ the casters arcane spell casting level (max 10 hp). Speed of 10 or 40 foot (flight- Poor) The Rooster attacks with its razor spurs @ Base attack+5 (Due weapon finesse +3 & size +2)., Dmg 1D4-1 critical on 19-20 with x 2 Critical damage. Saving throws- as caster. Feat: Weapon Finesse STR 8 DEX 16 INT 3 CON 10 WIS 14 CHR 6 The Roosters are covered with exquisitely beautiful iridescent feathers that actually sparkle with an internal fire. (The rooster glow is equal to the light of a candle). Upon death, the Rooster explodes in a fantastic explosion of sparkling acing feathers. Any one with in 5 feet of a exploding Rooster must make Will save or be dazzled for 3 rounds. (-1 attack, spot and search rolls) Special – Purposeful Detonation of Combat Roosters As a standard action, the caster can detonate one or more Eliet Combat Roosters. If the caster has 4 or more ranks in Perfom, the caster can direct the explosion to form images or words (up to 4 letters per Rooster). The image lasts for only one round, but can be seen for miles.
