Chill Touch gives you one touch per level, and the rules for holding a charge say that if you touch anything (even accidentally) you discharge the charge automatically. So if you casted Chill touch, then on the next turn started a grapple, wouldn't you constantly be touching the opponent as long as you maintain the grapple and therefore automatically subject them to the d6 and possible strength damage?

this is how i have been handeling it. The pell efect the target befor the grapple cheak and every round were you sucsefuly main tained the grappel to your next round.

rnd 1 touch to inutate graple does chill touch.
rnd 2 if grappel sucseded do chill touch auto
rnd 3 if grappel main tained still do chill touch
rnd 4 repet if grapple was maintained.

this means that chill touch takes efect 1/rnd, befor oposed grappel roles. Chill touch can only triger 1/rnd

actually, there is nothing that says there could only be one touch per round. After all, teleport involves you touching as many as 6 creatures or more, so I think we might have to ask the Wizards judge-thingies.

You may touch up to one target/level, however, you may not touch the same creature over and over. The spells duration is instantanious so after you touch all your targets the spell is cast.

Also the spell has a somantic component so you wouldnt be able to cast it once you are in a grapple. (unless you had still spell or some similar ability)

actually, the wizards customer service sent me the answer, and said that, while you can use the spell to deliver many touch attacks (one/caster level) on one person, you have to remove your hand and place it back on again in order to discharge another charge.

WotC CSRs are not trained in the minute points of the rules for every game, so the answer you get from them is about as potentially reliable as asking someone on the forums. Honestly, I'd go with the "grapple means auto-touch each round" ruling, myself.

well in a grapple your hand is not always touching the target. you are fighting with them to harm them while thay are tring to escape. By wining the grapple cheak you prevent them from escaping the grapple and posably harm them with your nuarmed damadge. This does not mean that your enchanted hand stated in contact with them at all times. Just the you impeded there actions suficently that thay can not move and have penalties using weapons
